2013 NFL Sleeper Team

My NFL sleeper playoff team this year will be the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North. With Adrian Peterson falling just of Eric Dickerson’s record of most rushing yards in a single season he will be looking to send the Vikings into the playoffs this upcoming season. Christian Ponder who passed for 2935 yards and 18 touchdowns has a few new weapons at receiver this year. One new receiver he has in his arsenal this year is veteran receiver Greg Jennings a free agent from Green Bay. Jennings was sidelined for a majority of the 2012 season with an injury. Jennings who had a productive career in Green Bay will be looking to beat his former team this season. Another new weapon for Ponder this year is rookie Cordarrelle Patterson out of Tennessee who will be looking to make an impact in the offense. Patterson was said to have the most raw talent at the receiver spot coming out of the draft will also double as a wide receiver and a return man on special teams. Returning targets such as tight end Kyle Rudolph and wide receiver Jerome Simpson will provide reliable targets for quarterback Christian Ponder. The Minnesota Vikings defense which has not been the most reliable in the past few seasons will need to step up in order to have a successful season. The Vikings will need both sides of the ball to perform well to make this team a playoff threat and potentially win the NFC North.
